Stovall scores another win at Bolivar

Friday was an action-packed night at the Bolivar Speedway USA with great racing in all classes. Two Legends Car features, Looney and Meadors all but lapped the field in the Late Models, but it was USRA Modified points leader Jesse Stovall that stole the show. During an early caution flag Stovall stopped to ask an offical if he had a flat tire. Since he stopped on his own, track rules said he must restart at the back. Needless to say, he was not happy. When the green flag dropped Stovall went into a rampage of needle threading passes, three wide in the middle, around the cushion, diving to the bottom, picking off one, two and sometimes three cars at a time. After the race a fan in the stands commented: "He (Stovall) ought to be in real estate development, 'cause he used every inch out there!" Stovall found himself in fourth a full straight away from the leader pack. He was making up ground fast when a yellow slowed the field with a handfull of laps left. On the restart, he went back to work finally pushing his No. 00 Modified into the lead. After a bobble in turn 3 it looked as though Scott Drake would retake the lead but a caution about the same time reset the field with Stovall back infront with two laps to go.
